C-Track is the most comprehensive real time vehicle Management, tracking and operations monitoring system available. C-Track utilises the Global Positioning System (GPS) to provide vehicle position within 10 metres average accuracy. C-Track has been specifically designed to allow the customer to set each vehicle's individual operational and reporting profile.

Position reporting intervals, speed, and more than 20 other status parameters can be reported to the Fleet Manager's base station computer. The system uses the GSM network (MTN or VODACOM) to transmit this real time information directly to the manager's desk, 24-hours a day, all year round.


C-Track's capabilities to monitor the customer's vehicle based operations, are virtually unlimited. Interfacing to temperature loggers, barcode scanners, and PDA's, C-Track means managers have all vital information at their fingertips.

Location based functions:

  • C-Track provides vehicle location countrywide and in most cases, down to street names.
  • Monitors and verifies that drivers arrive and depart from clients at desired times.
  • Route Monitoring informs clients and drivers of potential delays and estimated times of arrival.
  • The C-Track software allows operators to set "No go" or Preferred areas of vehicle operation (geo-fencing).
  • The Panic button indicates an emergency or breakdown and the exact position of the vehicle.
  • Reporting can be set to Exception Based, reducing communication costs

Operations Monitoring

  • Sophisticated software allows for secure cargo monitoring by alerting managers of open doors and trailer unhooking (optional).
  • Online temperature monitoring reports fluctuations in cargo temperature (optional).
  • Bar-coded information transfer to base station for proof of delivery, etc (optional).

Vehicle Usage and Engine Monitoring

  • Detects harsh braking, saving on brakes & tyres.
  • Detects excessive idling and speeding - according to customer prescribed thresholds. § Virtual odometer readings, with no connecting wire - prevents tampering.
  • Driver identification, reports and eliminates unauthorised use of vehicles (optional).
  • Trailer identification, for exacting which combinations have been utilised (optional).
  • Remote vehicle immobilisation from base station or cellular phone (optional).
  • Reports over-revving, overheating, low water level and oil pressure alarms (optional).

Reporting

  • User selectable exception-based reporting to multiple cellular phones.
  • C-Track gives access to historical data of each vehicle, showing where and at what times the vehicle stopped, restarted, idled and the routes followed.

In-Cab functions

  • C-Track Driver Console stores 8 telephone numbers, which the driver can call if required. It also receives and displays text messages from the base station. User-defined messages can be pre-programmed for transmission to the base station (optional).
  • Peripheral systems - C-Track can be customised to send information from RS232 linked peripherals to the C-Track base station.

C-Track 2000 Base Station

Ultra modern yet simple to operate, the C-Track base station is a 32-bit application that operates from Windows 95/98/2000 and Windows NT platforms.

C-Track has an Open System Design Philosophy, allowing for easy data exchange and integration with other complementary systems: C-Track 2000 C-Track integrates with Road show™ , Route Logix™ and FLO™ logistic and route planning systems. C-Track network capabilities allows multiple C-Track workstations to be connected via LANs, WANs or even the Internet.
